Career Advising Made Easy
1pm to 4pm on Thursday, May 18, 2017
Lansing Community College, Gannon Building Room 244

This year’s Pre-Conference will be held in workshop format and will aim to provide advisors with a toolbox of resources for their career advising encounters. Participants will learn how to initiate and engage students in self-discovery and implement career advising strategies with regard to the personal strengths and challenges students have. Attendees will be presented with resources to create a career advising module that can be tailored specifically for their student population and implemented immediately. While this Pre-Conference will provide tools that can be utilized by advisors working with any specialty population, advisors that come in frequent contact with undecided, exploring, parallel planning, and/or major-changing students may benefit most.

All are encouraged to consider attending this year’s Pre-Conference; however, registration enrollment will be limited to 40 participants. Refreshments will be provided.

Pre-Conference Workshop is FULL. We are not accepting any more registrations for the event.

Pre-Conference Chairs: Diane Petersen (LCC) and Ann Selleck (LCC)
