It's time again for MIACADA elections! There are 4 open positions this year: President-Elect, Secretary, and two Member-At-Large positions.  The descriptions of those positions, per MIACADA bylaws, are below. With the exception of the President-Elect, each position shall serve for a term of two years. Terms will begin October 1, 2020.


President-Elect:  The President-Elect shall assist the President as requested and shall serve as President in case of the vacancy, resignation, or removal of the President. The President–Elect is responsible for soliciting nominations and running the selection process for annual grants and awards.

 

Secretary:  The Secretary shall keep records of all meetings of MIACADA and the Board of Directors and shall give notice of special and regular meetings to all members. The Secretary shall prepare all correspondence requested by the Board of Directors.

 

Members-at-Large (2):  Members-at-Large will represent the membership on the Board of Directors. The representatives will also work with the various committees to encourage advisors to participate in the activities and programs of MIACADA. The Members-at-Large serve as the selection committee for the annual grants and awards.

 

MIACADA will be hosting a zoom info meeting on Wednesday, July 8th from 11am-12pm for anyone interested in learning more about those positions from current Board members. If you would like to attend this info meeting, please register here. You will be provided a zoom link in your registration confirmation email. 

 

Nominations will be accepted beginning Monday, July 6th until Friday, July 31st EXTENDED TO AUGUST 14TH! You can nominate yourself or another member of MIACADA by emailing Rachel Pawlowski, fg6313@wayne.edu. The election will run from Monday, August 17th through Friday, August 28th.
